For the first time in complete album form, here are 10
songs solely written, performed & recorded by a 17/18
year-old Matthew D. Guarnere on an eight-track tape
machine. Apart from a few reconstructive operations and
some modern digital mastering techniques, the stereo mixes
remain exactly as they were on M.D.G.'s original 1987-88
cassette releases.
Written, Performed, Produced, Recorded & Mixed by
Matthew D. Guarnere (and Manfred) between June 1987 &
December 1988 at M.D.G.'s Kut One Side One home

The word is TENtative, which means that it's been nearly a
decade since the most recent song on this compilation was
recorded and I still can't decide if anything is done yet!
Admittedly, it has been pretty interesting and somewhat
satisfying to listen back and I would like to give
permanent thanks to all those who contributed their great
artistic talents, taught me stuff, loaned me gear, spread
the word about M.D.G. or just plain supported me in the
most human and elemental ways. I feel much more complete
for knowing you. Now go press that play button on the
way-back machine and try to imagine a young John Stamos
looking character standing in front of a microphone with
only the wildest of dreams swimming around in his little
head! - M.D.G. December, 2005
